The successful candidate will have technical experience combining both a good working knowledge of database architecture, design, and approaches to integration (with focused knowledge of SQL), and significant devops experience as well as familiarity with version control software such as Git.

About the role

You will be joining a multi-talented and diverse team of data engineer with responsibilities include:

  • designing and implementing ETL pipelines across a range of technologies and working with clients to integrate pipelines with their source systems.
  • develop and optimise a next-generation analytics platform that utilises numerous data sources.
  • efficiently extracting and transforming data to support new analyses supported by high-frequency, highly granular data flows.
  • Building reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • Implementation of security and data protection.
  • Design and implementation of data storage solutions
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of technologies and stay abreast of current industry trends and emerging technologies.

Essential skills:

These skills and experience will help get you onto the shortlist:

  • 5+ years' experience working intimately with data in the context of application development, data warehousing, migration, or data analysis
  • A high-level of motivation and demonstrable ability to solve complex problems and deliver solutions under tight timelines
  • The ability to help develop a suite of databases that will support a cutting-edge web application
  • Demonstrated experience with SQL Server Integration Services or other ETL tools
  • Exposure to Oracle and SQL Server 2016
  • Experience with Healthcare data preferred but not essential
  • Experience with Amazon AWS or Azure services desired.
  • Experience writing automated tests for data pipelines.

ABOUT THE ROLE

To continue building out our front-end engineering team, we are now looking for a committed and motivated individual to join us at an exciting time of rapid expansion. If you are a passionate web developer and are hungry for developing state-of-the-art application using modern technology stack, this role is for you.

You will be joining a multi-talented and diverse team of Web engineers with the following responsibilities:

  • Developing and building new component and Web feature using JavaScript (ES6+) and utilising modern frameworks such as ReactJS, Redux, GraphQL, TypeScript and ExpressJS/NodeJS.
  • Lead, design, specify, and implement new project with cross discipline team to deliver a successful application or enhancement to SystemView core product.
  • Participating in improving our design and contribute to development of new UI/UX design.
  • Providing technical and helpdesk support to other part of the business, including debugging, troubleshooting of technical issue during an outage or identified bugs.
  • Participating in code and peer review process.
  • Improving our CI/CD pipelines and maintaining solution on Azure Devops platform.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of front-end technologies and stay abreast of current industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Improving secure web development practices and methodologies of SystemView application.
  • Contribute to improving our test framework, i.e. Cypress
  • Participate and take part in Agile development process, including co-managing sprint process and ceremonies.
  • Participate in technical council or similar councils to improve overall Web and Platform framework and architecture.

SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

These skills and experience will help get you onto the shortlist:

  • A degree in Computer Science or similar, or ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge in web application development. A portfolio of your recent projects will be useful to help us understand your ability.
  • 5+ years' experience working intimately in JavaScript and exposure to modern JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJS, Redux, GraphQL, NodeJS/ExpressJS, WebSocket/Socket.io, TypeScript, Webpack, NPM, and test framework such as Cypress, Jest, Ava, Supertest
  • Experience writing automated tests for front end and back end JavaScript.
  • Experience or exposure to solution design and architecture is highly regarded.
  • Experience using Git repository such as Bitbucket, Github, Azure Devops and other PaaS technology.
  • Experience in setting up CI/CD pipeline and using tools such as Azure Devops, Bamboo, Travis, Jenkins, as well as other CI/CD tools.
  • Experience in database design especially RDBMS and have developed application using one of the database engines such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MongoDB.
  • Experience and skills in developing application using SPA architecture, build systems, cross browser compatibility and HTML5/CSS layout, including SASS, UI/UX knowledge and wireframing.
  • Experience in leading a small team or mentoring junior developers
  • Prior experience with application or web development working in fast-paced agile and exposure to modern collaborative tools such as Scrum and Test-Driven Development.
  • Good communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Healthcare data preferred but not essential.
